I think the best feature of this is the magnetic mount! You can mount this with the included double-sided tape, screws (included) or with the built in magnetic mount....best feature!
There are three white LED's and it's not as bright as I would like but adequate. Also, the head swivels but not as much as I would like so I can't direct the light exactly where I want but that's easily fixed by moving the unit.

I love the units they work very well. The only problem is that every time the bulb burns out it destroys the unit. After about one year, you are going to have to replace it which basically means about 6 to 8 weeks of downtime(plus the cost of shippings).

Easy to install, worked as advertised. Noteworthy: Several of the unit housings were loose. I recommend removing the glass housing, checking the gasket, and re-assembling before deploying.

All 32 batteries in place and burning brightly 2 months later and the outdoor have NOT had that much sun - they do burn brightly under the snow!
Will be ordering more for indoor use come summer 2010.
In the past 10 days - w/8 packs purchased Amazon now have brought 'back to life' [8] 3yr old solar path lights/which are now lighting up the 17 inches of snow/
installed in [3] new indoor sensor lights/as hall and bathroom lights
and [4] Dome 'tap-lights' in 4 closets.
If one makes sure the connection is intact when first received - [check in a dark room as sunlight shuts bulb off] - opening battery compartment on solars every two months or so and spinning batteries while in slots does the trick also -

It's a one for one replacement of my original Malibu light timer/transformer which lasted about 7 years. Easy to install - does what it's supposed to. Got it quickly. Went to Home Depot after I bought this and found the transformer timers are now programmable - digital clock-driven. Had I known, would have gotten digital model. Wasn't happy to have to buy entire new unit to replace a simple clock drive (Malibu doesn't sell the timer drive separately even though it's trivial to replace it.)

This item provides enough light to not bump into things in the dark, but you won't be finding things in that dark corner of your shed with it. Our shed does not have electricity so this was a welcome addition rather than running electrical to it, I just wish it were a little brighter. It was easy to mount and it comes on every time we pull the cord what more could we ask?
